EXTROVERSO exhibits at Maison & Objet 2019, the Parisian festival dedicated to design, in the French capital from 18th to 22nd January. The proposals signed by the young company founded by Manuela Dello Strologo, this year are gathered under the theme of “Trame Italiane”, with graphic patterns and lines inspired by the Art Deco.
Artistic inspiration, Made in Italy, craftmanship and excellence characterize the collections, together with the ability of giving emotions and telling stories.
Beauty comes from design objects, hand made, but the same pieces also tell a story: this is the aim of EXTROVERSO: each piece expresses art, and Italian tradition: not only artisan excellence, technical research and great knowledge of materials, but also sensibility and inspiration, ability to give emotions, to interpret and make ideas come true.
EXTROVERSO starts 2019 around the concept of “TRAME”, the set of threads that together with the warp make up a fabric. The thread is something that binds, which creates the narration of a story, making connections possible. Every piece of furniture is a bridge between different cultures, a place where international projects meet and various disciplines interact: industrial design and illustration, carpentry and architecture.
But “TRAME” also refers to the graphic pattern, to the visual form, inspired by Art Deco but revised and contemporary: a harmonious contrast between classical inspiration, rigorous geometries and modern lines, animated by a futuristic impulse.
As in the new NEW MOON series of armchairs: the “Luna Piena” armchair with a large padded surface that enhances the beauty of the fabrics, combining them with the lacquered color of the wooden structure. Or the elegantly ironic “Chiaro di Luna” armchair that plays with proportions: the high padded back has a strong impact, thanks also to the wide choice of fabrics and leathers, but always balanced and refined. Or the more minimalist Selene New Moon armchair, suitable to welcome without cluttering or weighing down space.
Classic shapes combined with contemporary graphic irony characterize the eccentric figure of the Comò Zebra, a lacquered wood structure with black and white stripes, hiding 3 drawers, internally colored in red.
New is also the decorative Cometa mirror, a composition of mirrors and panels decorated by hand with gold leaf. The material decoration creates impressive effect of light with an almost “lunar” mood.
But the real news of 2019 is the ‘Cadòre rug, an authentic work of craftsmanship, not only because it is entirely hand-woven with natural wool and cotton, but also because it is inspired by the traditional Sardinian veil of which the name Muccadòre refers.
And these are just some of the proposals that EXTROVERSO brings to Paris at Maison & Objet 2019, the event dedicated to lifestyle professionals, a platform dedicated to visitors from all over the world who love design and are looking for originality.
The appointment for all is in the Parc des Exposition- Villepinte from 18th to 22nd January 2019 at Hall 5A – Stand M24, Signature – Unique and Eclectic.
EXTROVERSO is a company founded by Manuela Dello Strologo
Of humanistic and anthropological formation, Manuela Dello Strologo has always loved studying the way in which cultures and traditions are reinvented in the process of society evolution. After over ten years of experience at Tura, a leading company in furniture and parchment coverings. She has developed unique and custom-made projects for international clients in Russia, China, India, Europe and the USA. She accompanied the company from the rediscovery of its historical values (starting from the foundation with Aldo Tura 1939) to the development of new collections, always facing new challenges in terms of materials, technology and design. Today this experience, this passion, this enthusiasm, this curiosity combine and give life to the new project: ExtroVerso.
